Colored paper homes of Wasp by Mattia Menchetti

“It is not the beauty of a building you should look at; its the construction of the foundation that will stand the test of time.” ~David Allan Coe

Home is our starting point. Most of our first experiences happen at home. First laugh. First steps. First words. In our homes we build relationships and skills that will deeply affect us for the rest of our lives. Home is the beginning; it is where we start (or re-start.)

The below images of wasp colorful nests, purely built by wasp and not with any human interference. This  is a result of an experiment carried out by Mattia Menchetti, a biology student at the University of Florence. The Idea was to give a captive colony of European paper wasps colored paper instead of the usual plain variety. It took some getting use to, but eventually the wasps started using it instead of plain paper and as a result made these awesome looking vibrant nests.
