Japan based artist and environmentalist Ryo Shimura created colorful miniature sculptor working primarily with plastic. His designs are creates awareness of mass extinction caused by deforestation, air pollution, global warming, poaching etc. Since he was a kid, artist has been interested about the ecosystem, which explains his strong desire to protect the animals.
Ryo believes that the best way to raise awareness about the environment is by teaching kids about this issue from an early age. His work was recognized last year when it won an award at the 2011 Eco & Art awards hosted by Konica Minolta. Adorable with a green purpose, the Ryo sculptures are worth checking out to learn more about these sad reality.
